Matt Westendorf

Matt joined the ForestEthics staff in June of 2008, bringing with him more than a dozen years of development and nonprofit management experience. As Chief Operating Officer, Matt oversees ForestEthics’ Development, Finance and Operations/Human Resources departments. Previously, Matt held the position of Managing Director for Frameline Inc., an LGBT film and media organization and producers of the San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival. Prior to that, Matt held leadership positions for the Stern Grove Festival Association, Stanford University Alumni Association and the National Writers Union. Matt holds a B.A. in American Literature / Journalism from University of California, Santa Cruz.

Matt calls San Francisco home and believes there's no better place on earth. On the rare occasion that he leaves The City, you're most likely to find him hiking & fishing in the Eastern Sierras, "hop-rocking" on the Yuba River, savoring a local wine in Boonville, or canoeing down the Nooksack River for the ForestEthics’ team in Bellingham’s annual Ski-to-Sea Race.
