
Geeta joined ForestEthics in early 2012, bringing over 15 years of project management and development experience in the non-profit and public sectors. A native New Yorker, she oversaw the budgets for cultural institutions and libraries at the NYC Office of Management and Budget, and directed government relations and community engagement at Jazz at Lincoln Center. In addition to ForestEthics, Geeta is also a development consultant for SFJAZZ. Geeta has her BA, Economics and MA, Applied Sociology from The American University in Washington, DC. She was also a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs in New York City.
Inspired by the natural and protected beauty of coastal Marin County, Geeta has dreamed of working at a conservation organization since moving to Mill Valley in 2009. When she is not working, surfing, or hiking, Geeta enjoys hiking, playing, swimming, and eating frozen yogurt with her two children.
