Misleading map: Tell Enbridge to truthfully represent pipeline dangers

Scientist discovers that the oil and gas giant deliberately and dramatically altered map for pipeline route ad
Aug 15, 2012

Have you ever been mislead by a map? It sure is frustrating, isn’t it? All you want is a darn donut, but the online mapping tool you used didn't locate that hole-in-the-wall spot.

In this case, we’re not taking about donut shops. We’re talking about missing islands -- about 1,000 square kilometres (621 square miles) of missing islands off the coast of northern British Columbia. An independent scientist discovered that oil and gas giant Enbridge deliberately and dramatically left the islands off of their pipeline route ad.

Tell Enbrige we’re not buying it >>

Talk about misleading the public! Enbridge is trying to make their proposed Northern Gateway pipeline and tanker project look safer than it actually is. In truth, BC’s coast is the fourth most dangerous waterway in the world.

This is dirty, illegal marketing…brought to you by Enbridge. Also brought to you by Enbridge: the 2010 Kalamazoo tar sands disaster and hundreds of other ruptures. Let’s uncover the truth, because there’s simply too much at stake here.

Tell Enbridge to stop trying to fool the public about the risk of oil tanker spills off of BC’s pristine, but treacherous coast: http://sumofus.org/campaigns/enbridge/
